My Senior Year. 19

Part 19

Cordelia leaned in for a kiss but Angel tilted his head back. “Angel?”

“Why did you run from me?”

“In case you haven’t noticed, we’re having a romantic moment, complete with the violins playing in the background.” She saw confusion in his eyes.

“Not literally but they’re there, we just can’t hear them. My point is you’re stepping all over our moment. This is the part where we kiss and then we make love. It’s all very romantic. So shut up and kiss me.”

His eyes bored into her, pinning her in place. “I can understand why you were upset after what Buffy said but why run from ME?”

Cordelia broke from his intense gaze, ducking under the water. She pushed off the wall and swam towards the shallow end, buying herself some time. She sat down on one of the pool steps and waited, knowing Angel wouldn’t be far behind.

“Cordy..”

“I went to see Giles this afternoon.” She wrapped her arms around her body, hugging herself, protecting herself.

Angel knelt on the lower step and faced her. “To tell him about us?”

“No.” Her voice sounded so small. “I just wanted to have one more of our library chats before everything changed.”

“What happened?”

“Buffy showed up. She asked to speak to him privately. They left me in the office but I could still hear them. You know once I pressed my ear to the door.” She managed a weak smile. It didn’t last long. “She asked Giles to ask me to back off.”

“Off what?”

“You. She knew you were pulling away from her. She thought if I backed off, you would be able to fix your relationship. Apparently she and Willow noticed we’d grown close and came to the conclusion that our friendship was in her way.”

“What did Giles say?”

“He told me the bond between you and Buffy was undeniable. Eventually you would find a way to be together and that if I was your friend, I would accept that.”

“I meant what did he say to Buffy. Giles actually said that to you?”

“Yeah. I didn’t really stick around after that. My day went downhill from there. Later on Buffy and I ended up debating Romeo and Juliet in front of our entire class.”

“What about it?”

She rolled her eyes. “She identifies with the whole star crossed lover thing. I pointed out that they weren’t friends. I mean they didn’t even know each other, not really. She may have taken my remarks a little personally.” Cordelia threw her hands in the air, nearly hitting Angel. “OK. They were intended to be but she managed to squeeze in a few shots of her own.”

“So I heard.”

“I had it coming.”

“I wish you’d stop saying that.”

“Boyfriend stealer, remember?”

“That doesn’t..”

“It doesn’t matter now.” She wrapped her arms around Angel’s neck. “I have you. I meant what I told my literature class. Love should make you feel like you could face anyone or anything.”

“And you ran because?”

“Cut me some freakin’ slack. I was up against all of the Buffy and Angel forever crap and I had an attack of the insecurities. I was afraid they might be right. I was afraid you would come to your senses and choose Buffy… like everyone else.” She looked into his eyes.

“I’m sorry I doubted you. You never gave me a reason to. You came after me and I ran.” She shifted a little closer, bringing him deeper into the V of her thighs. “I ran into the sunlight, where you couldn’t follow me. I’m sorry. I know that must have hurt. I won’t do that again.”

“Run or doubt me?”

“I’m gonna choose C, all of the above.”

“So we’re okay, right?”

“Yup. Romeo and Juliet is so overrated. Love at first sight may be wonderful but I’ll take love that grows from friendship any day.”

“Well I guess it’s a good thing we have both then, huh?”

Cordelia covered her mouth in an attempt to smother her snort. “Angel, you totally blew me off when we first met.”

“I was blind back then so it took me a little longer to see you.” He cupped her cheek and stared deep into her eyes. “When I saw you… When you let me truly see you, it most definitely was love at first sight.”

“Angel, you’re doing it again.” The twinkle in her eyes shined brighter and a glorious smile spread across her features. She ran her fingers through his hair.

“There are no more reasons why I should resist the urge to rip off your clothes. In fact,” her hands gripped the collar of his shirt, “I’m thinking now is the perfect time to indulge that particular urge.”

He caught her hands by her wrists.

“Angel,” she whined. Her lower lip curled out in a pout.

“What happened to our date?”

“I told you. I’m not hungry and you don’t eat.” She squirmed towards him, wrapping her legs around his waist. “We can go out tomorrow.”

“What about our romantic evening? I’m not just some piece of meat. I need to be romanced.”

“For a man of your vast experience, you sure have a lot of rules for making love.”

He refused to smile. “I have as much experience with making love as you. I only..”

“OK.” She unwrapped her legs. “Trying to take me down memory lane has officially killed my mood. I so didn’t need the mental image of you and the blond powerhouse right now. Let’s go to dinner.”

Angel watched in shock as a bikini-clad Cordelia climbed up the steps of the pool and slipped into a terrycloth robe, covering her beautiful tempting flesh from sight. “Where are you going?”

“You’re taking me out to dinner, remember? Maybe we can go see a movie after we eat.” She turned away so he wouldn’t see her smile or the evil glint in her eyes. She glanced over her shoulder at him. “I think you might want to change too. You can’t go in soaking wet clothes.”

He numbly climbed out of the pool and started towards the house.

“Woah. Hold up Mr. Romance. There will be no tracking water through my house. The clothes stay out here.” She tossed him a towel.

Angel lifted his shirt and undershirt over his head. The material hit the patio with a soft plop. He kicked off his shoes and stripped off his socks. He mindlessly unbuckled his belt. His hands rested on his zipper when he finally noticed Cordelia watching him with undisguised curiosity and desire. He stopped.

It took her a moment to register his hands weren’t continuing. “Is something wrong?” When she didn’t receive a response, she looked up. Her gaze met his amused one.

“Enjoying the show?”

“Everything but the stopping part. I’ve had enough of that to last me a long time. Please continue.” Her gaze dropped back down to his hands. She nibbled on her lower lip waiting for those stubborn hands to continue. The lighting wasn’t ideal. There was only one patio light turned on in addition to the ones in the pool. It could be better but it would do. She was about to personally witness a completely naked man for the first time.

Kevin had been naked but she hadn’t seen much, actually he may have left his socks on. The back seat was cramped and the moon not very bright. She planted her hands on her hips. “You’re still not undressed. Your pants are soaking wet.”

Angel unzipped his pants and let the wet material fall to the ground. His boxers stuck to him like a second skin, displaying a rather obvious erection. He saw her eyes widen slightly, but they never blinked. Her intense stare had him feeling rather self-conscious. He wrapped the towel around his hips.

“Hey!”

“What?”

She grumbled at his amused expression. “You’re no fun.”

“I didn’t realize I was here for your amusement.”

“Duh! You’re my boyfriend.”

A goofy grin spread across his face. “I like the sound of that.” He walked across the patio and swept her into his arms. “C’mon. We’re both seriously underdressed for dinner.”

“Antonio’s does have a dress code.” She opened and closed the door since his hands were full. “I don’t think they would approve of your towel or my robe.” She tightened her grip around his neck as he started up the stairs. “You know that restaurant is kind of pretentious. I doubt you’d like it.”

“Oh really?”

“Yup.” Cordelia began kissing and licking a path up his neck to his ear. There was absolutely no way she would allow either of them to leave the house. “We really should just stay home.” Blunt teeth nibbled on his earlobe.

“What about our date? Going out was originally your idea.” His legs wobbled nearly causing them to crash into the wall.

“What could be more romantic than making love after taking a moonlight swim?” Her lips fastened to where his pulse should be, sucking hard on the pale skin, marking him in her own way.

His growl echoed through the hall. It took all of his strength not to take her up against the wall. “Cordy.”

She smiled into the crook of his neck. “Make love to me, Angel. I don’t want to go out tonight.” She caressed his cheek as she continued to kiss and nibble his neck. “Please Angel. I need to feel you. I want to feel your hands on me, exploring my body, making me yours. Angel, I..”

“Cordy, open the damn door before I break it down.” The giggling girl reached out and opened her bedroom door. He shifted her in his arms so her legs were wrapped around his waist, freeing his hands. He tugged the belt of her robe open. His attempts to remove it failed. “Cordy, you have to let go for a second.”

She released one arm at a time, letting the soft material fall to the floor. She clutched his head, holding him in place as she attacked his mouth, her tongue learning every crevice. It had been so long since she tasted him.

Angel took over the kiss, his hunger rivaling hers. His feet kept moving towards her bed.

Their combined yelps were heard as he tripped sending them crashing to the floor. Angel’s hands shot out to absorb the brunt of the impact.

“Are you okay?”

Cordelia burst out laughing. She glanced down at his feet and saw they were tangled in her robe. The sight only made her laugh harder.

He was torn. Cordelia looked so beautiful laughing beneath him. Her eyes sparkled in merriment. Her warm barely covered body pressed tightly to his, searing him with her heat and fueling his desire. At the same time, he had just tripped in the middle of a very romantic moment and she was laughing at him so hard tears were beginning to form in her eyes. His ego was rapidly shrinking.

She struggled to breathe. “I can’t… I can’t believe you just tripped.”

“Are you okay?” He brushed the hair off her face. “Did I hurt you?”

“You tripped on my robe.” She burst out laughing again.

His arousal deflated almost immediately. He pushed off the floor and stood. “Maybe we should stick to the plan and go out to dinner.”

“Angel, come on. You gotta admit that was funny.”

“I really don’t.”

She rose to her knees, discreetly rubbing her sore bottom. “I wasn’t laughing at you.” She reached out and grabbed his leg. “Don’t go.”

“Laughing at me kinda killed the mood.”

“I wasn’t laughing at you.” She tugged on his towel pulling it off. His damp boxers still clung to his body. “OK. I can see how you might interpret my reaction that way. At least give me the chance to make it up to you.” She pressed a kiss to his thigh. “Give me the chance to get you back in the mood.” She leaned forward.

Her tongue erotically drew moist patterns on his thigh as her fingertips teased where flesh disappeared beneath silk. She gently bit the quivering muscle before sitting back on her heels. “Are you sure you’d rather go out to dinner?” She flicked her hair off her shoulders and arched her back slightly.

His eyes were drawn to her full breasts. The wet swimsuit did nothing to hide the hardened peaks. “You did say you weren’t hungry so there’s really no point in going out to a restaurant. I could always make you something later.”

Cordelia beamed as Angel pulled her to her feet. “You know we really should get out of these wet bathing suits. We.. I wouldn’t want to catch a cold.”

“That’s a very good point.” He turned her so she faced away from him.

“Angel?”

“Shh.” He pushed one strap of her bikini off her shoulder and placed a kiss on the newly uncovered skin. He pushed the other strap off next. His hand caressed the length of her arm while he kissed the now bare shoulder. Both hands slid up her back to open the clasp on her top.

She watched the material fall to the floor. “Try not to trip on that later.” Angel’s hands abruptly disappeared. She spun around. “Don’t leave me. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that.”

Angel was in awe of her. An apocalypse couldn’t drag him from the room. “You are so beautiful.” He could hear the rush of blood and see the sudden pink tint of her skin. “So beautiful.”

She resisted her instinct to cross her arms in front of her chest. His intense scrutiny made her anxious, her usual confidence faltering, but his soft smile and sweet words made her feel beautiful. Her hands slowly explored the smooth firm planes of his chest. Her thumbs teased small male nipples into hardness. His low groan made her smile, giving her confidence a boost.

He captured her hands and placed a kiss on each palm. He gracefully dropped to his knees and pressed her hands to her body, using them to touch her, to tease her, to explore the beauty before him. He tested the weight of her breasts by directing her hands to cup them. Leaving her hands there, his drifted down her body, only his fingertips making contact.

His thumbs hooked on the sides of her bikini bottom and slowly worked them down her legs. “You’re so beautiful.” His hungry gaze roved over her luscious form. Her hands still held her breasts. Her eyes smoldered with desire. The scent of her arousal amplified his need to touch, to taste, to explore, to fill, to learn, to savor.

Cordelia stepped out of her swimsuit, damp from more than just her swim. The chill of his unneeded breath failed to cool her overheated skin. His darkened eyes made her pulse quicken. The air around them sparked with electricity. Her nervousness began to fade as her need grew. She pulled him to his feet.

His hands reached out for her but she pushed them to the side. His eyes tracked her every movement until she circled around him. He groaned when he felt her lips press a kiss between his shoulder blades. His head drooped forward as she began trailing kisses down his back. He felt his boxers slowly sliding down his legs. A delicate hand snaked around his waist to ensure the damp silk didn’t snag on his almost painful erection.

Her careful ministrations only served to make him crave her touch more. She had yet to touch him where he ached for her touch the most. The silky feel of her tongue, the gentle scrape of her teeth and her soft kiss-swollen lips leisurely roamed up his back once the silk reached the floor. He balled his hands into fists to stop himself from turning and grabbing her. Her actions were exquisite torture but more importantly he wanted to let her set the pace.

Once on her feet again, she slowly circled around him kissing his collarbone along the way. The fire in his eyes made her heart skip a beat only to race faster. Her gaze was drawn down against her will.

A soft feminine smile graced her lips. His control was beginning to wear thin. He didn’t want to overwhelm her by moving too fast. His restraint snapped. His good intentions vanished at her hesitant touch. He swept her off her feet. This time her giggling didn’t offend. He reverently placed her on the bed. He stepped back to admire her beauty. Her toned tanned lustrous form lay bare before him, her hands reaching for him in the soft light.

Cordelia sat up when Angel turned away and walked towards the door. Her insecurities came flooding back. No words passed her lips as her fears made her throat constrict. A rush of air escaped her lungs in relief. Instead of leaving her, Angel closed and locked her bedroom door. A giggle bubbled up when he proceeded to unplug the phone from her wall.

With her fears gone, she was free to appreciate the magnificent figure before her. She wished she’d left more than her desk lamp on when she’d brought her books up earlier. The small lamp was meant more for decoration but the muted light did allow her to admire his beauty.

Muscles rippling beneath pale skin that almost glowed like a marble statue brought images of sculptures she’d admired in museums and books. The small tuft of hair did nothing to hide his rigid member, jutting out proudly. She never thought she would ever describe a penis as beautiful.

Having a sex organ dangling from a person’s body seemed unnatural and therefore kind of funny looking. The ones she had touched under the cover of darkness made her curious but deep down she always thought she’d laugh when she saw one. There was nothing humorous about Angel’s nude form.

The sight created chemical reactions throughout her system the likes of which she’d never even imagined. Thrills she knew no name for raced through her. Once he checked the locks on the windows, predatory eyes locked with hers.

Rather than making her nervous, she felt a rush of certainty wash over her. Her desire intensified as he stalked towards the bed. Instead of wanting to run from her predator, she wanted to run out to meet him.

Her scent surrounded him, drawing him in. He felt compelled to capture her image on paper but it would have to wait for another time. The delay wouldn’t matter. Her beauty was already burned into his mind’s eye. Besides a very naked Cordelia was a sight he hoped to see often.

“Angel, are we done with the staring portion of the evening yet? I’d like to get to the having sex part soon. Now would be good for me.” She stretched her limbs with catlike grace, no longer afraid of the power she possessed. She was loved, she was desired and she was a woman. “I’m lonely in this big bed all by myself.”

Angel crawled onto the bed, his gaze focusing on his prey. He grabbed her ankles and pulled her towards him. His tongue dipped into her navel before kissing a path up her torso as his body moved to blanket hers. He suckled a puckered nipple, gradually increasing the pressure. A growl rumbled through his chest when her hand pressed him to her breast. He lavished the same attention to the other.

Her hips rose off the bed desperate for friction but found none against his firm flat stomach. “Angel please.” She tugged on his hair, trying to bring his lips to hers. She groaned in frustration. He would not be rushed.

His tongue left a moist trail up her body, dipping into the hollow of her throat then continuing up her neck. A deep guttural groan escaped his lips when his hips connected with hers. There was so much pleasure he wanted to give her before he buried himself deep inside, but his patience was being sorely tested. Her heat seared hard flesh that ached to be surrounded, enveloped, embedded. Blunt teeth clamped down on his ear. His hips lurched forward. Hot moist folds embraced the tip.

“Please.”

“Cordy, I want..”

“Now Angel. We’ve waited long enough.”

She nearly screamed in frustration when instead of filling her he shifted his weight away. Her scream was bubbling up but came out as a moan when strong fingers slid through silken folds spreading the moisture there. She gripped his arms as one long finger plunged inside, stroking her inner walls. Her hips rose to meet his thrusting hand as another finger was added and his thumb brushed the pulsing bundle of nerves. She panted for breath.

Spasms of liquid ecstasy hummed through her veins but she wanted more. Her body craved what her voice was too shy to demand. Her hands clutched the corded muscles of his back, hoping he would understand what she wanted. The only response she met with his hand speeded up its wondrous torment. She could feel her peak rising before her but she didn’t want to be there alone. One hand dropped to the hardened desire pressing into her hip. She wrapped her fingers around him and began stroking.

Against his wishes, he began inching towards the cradle of her hips. He knew he should stop her skillful hand if he wanted to remain in control. His need to be embedded in her tight heat grew at an exponential rate the moment she began stroking him. He captured her mouth in a fiery kiss swallowing her groan as he removed his hand.

Hungry for more, her thighs drifted apart allowing him to settle between them. Her tongue battled his as her hand led him where she so desperately wanted him. She tore her mouth away as he slowly began pushing inside her.

He wanted to take his time but feeling her walls grip him so tightly made it almost impossible not to bury his length to the hilt in one hard thrust. His hips stilled the moment he felt her body tense. He cursed his impatience. She wasn’t ready for him yet.

She’d been aching for his touch for so long but the frissons of pleasure were suddenly mixed with twinges of pain. His thick length pushing, stretching, coring her was more than she had expected. He started to pull away sending a wave of emptiness crashing over her. Arms and legs worked together in a desperate attempt to prevent his escape. “Don’t leave me.” Her tight grip sent him deeper making them both moan.

Angel dropped kisses all over her face trying to soothe her. He ached to sink deeper but he couldn’t abide hurting her. “Shh. I’m never leaving you.”

She dragged his lips to hers, drinking deep. The pain vanished leaving a different ache in its place. Her nails raked down his back causing his hips to jolt forward until he was fully embedded in her hot tight embrace.

It was his turn to break the kiss as he almost wailed in agonized joy. He was already so close. He looked into her eyes for any traces of pain but found need, raw hunger and unrestrained passion.

His eyes burned with molten desire and flecks of gold as they bored into her. She was filled so completely. The ache returned with a vengeance. Her hips jerked sending his into action. Slow withdrawals were followed by quick returns. Hesitant touches were gone as his hands took possession of her with unyielding demand. He was devouring every part of her and it thrilled her beyond comprehension.

A hand kneaded a breast. The other tangled in her hair while his lips attacked hers. All fears were forgotten as he took possession of the writhing woman beneath him. Never had he wanted anyone or anything like he wanted her. She already owned everything in him.

She wrenched her head away and gasped for air. Her nerve endings were burning out of control. Her minds struggled to form thoughts, to understand what was happening but failed. She was conscious of nothing but Angel and the pleasure he was causing. She held his arms in an almost bruising grip in an attempt to stay grounded. It was as if her body was on the verge of flying apart.

The sensation was as terrifying as it was thrilling. She clung to Angel, knowing she was safe with him. The inferno within spiraled out of control her back arched off the bed and she screamed the only word her mind could think of. “Angel!”

Her inner walls clamped down on him. He grabbed her hips and drove into her deeper, sending them both flying over the edge. Her name on his lips was muffled against her neck. He collapsed in sated ecstasy on top of her, pressing her into the mattress.

Awareness gradually returned to her. She could still feel him deep within her. Regardless of its impracticality she never wanted him to go. Her fingers danced along his spine, savoring the feel of him.

Seconds, minutes, hours later, he lifted his head. Beautiful hazel eyes sparkled for him, only him. “I love you.” A glorious smile dawned on her face.

“I love you too.”

Angel moved to relieve her of his greater weight but her hands and legs stilled him.

“No. Don’t move, not yet. I want to savor this moment, our connection.” One hand slid up his back and pressed his forehead to hers. “Not yet.”

***

She had heard women on television and in movies joke about the way men fall asleep right after sex but Cordelia never thought much about it. Angel was asleep minutes after rolling onto his back. He had a soft smile on his face. It should bother her.

Those women seemed bothered but they hadn’t been sharing a bed with a purring vampire. Apparently rubbing a sated vampire’s stomach while he’s sleeping results in purring, it may only work on this particular vampire. She didn’t care. Other vampires didn’t matter. Angel was hers and he was absolutely adorable.

A non-purring rumble in her stomach demanded attention. She hadn’t really eaten all day. Suddenly pasta from Antonio’s sounded heavenly. Her gaze studied the naked man beside her. Pasta might be good but being in Angel’s arms was decidedly better. Her stomach growled again.

She carefully tried to extract herself from his arms but her every attempt failed. The more she tried to escape the tighter his grip became. Oxygen might become more of an issue than starvation. His purr turned into a low grumble.

“Shh. It’s okay.” She dropped a few kisses on his face and his body relaxed a little. She decided on a new strategy. She began trailing butterfly kisses down his chest, hoping he would allow her to slip lower and out of his grasp.

Once her lips reached his waist, she managed to pull free. She cautiously stood, doing her best not to shake the bed. Instead of heading for her closet, she grabbed the shirt Angel had worn the first night he slept in her bedroom. She left the top few buttons open and rolled the sleeves up to her elbows.

“Where are you going?”

“Dammit Angel!” She clutched her chest. “You nearly gave me a heart attack.”

“Where. Are. You. Going?”

“It’s only 9 o’clock. It’s not exactly my bedtime yet. Some of us didn’t automatically roll over and fall asleep.”

“Sorry. I didn’t get any sleep today.”

“Nightmares?”

“No. Well yes but that’s not why. There was no you in my arms.” He glanced down. “I still seem to be lacking a you in my arms.”

She rolled her eyes. “That’s really sweet but I’m hungry.”

“You said..”

“That was before and in case you already forgot, I worked up an appetite. Go back to sleep.”

“No. I’ll make you something to eat.” He walked towards the door.

“Aren’t you gonna put some clothes on?”

“Why?”

She could feel the rush of heat to her face. “You’re naked.”

“So?”

“You… You can’t cook naked. What if you burn something?”

He grinned at the blushing brunette. “I’m a vampire. I heal fast.”

Cordelia followed the naked vampire to the kitchen. She tried to act casual. She’d seen him naked. They had made love. It was silly to be embarrassed. Her eyes kept being drawn down. His was the first penis she’d ever gotten a good look at but it was different now. It was soft and smaller.

She absently wondered if it hurt when it bounced slightly with each step. Her breasts would get sore if she didn’t wear a sports bra while she exercised.

“What would you like to eat?”

Her eyes snapped up. “What can you make?”

Angel studied the contents of the refrigerator. “How about an omelet?”

“Sounds yummy.” She watched him pull eggs and various vegetables from the fridge. “You’re pretty handy to have around.”

“Does this mean I haven’t worn out my welcome?”

“I think you’re a little ahead of yourself. I haven’t even tasted the omelet yet.”

“I guess I better do a good job then.” He began chopping the vegetables.

“Are you hungry? I can heat up some blood.”

“No thanks. I’m fine.”

“Is there anything I can do?”

“Nope. Just sit there and look beautiful.”

“I don’t know if I can do that. I must look horrible.” She walked over to the microwave and looked at her reflection in the glass door.

Angel stepped in front of her. “You look beautiful.” He turned her around and slapped her butt. “And no more fishing for compliments, you’re distracting me from my work.”

She sat down on the stool and watched him. “It was really amazing.” Her blush returned.

He didn’t pretend not to understand. “I would definitely agree with that.”

“So it was… you know good for you too?”

“Cordelia, it was amazingly perfect. Well I could have done without the tripping and being laughed at.” He studied her face for any signs of lingering doubt. He saw none so he continued cooking.

“I wasn’t laughing at you. I was laughing near you. That’s totally different.”

“Uh huh”

“It is. Come on. You can admit it now. It was funny. I mean you tripped on…” Her words trailed off at his glare. “OK. That was the last time I’ll bring it up. Is it done yet? I’m hungry.”

“I offered to take you out to dinner.”

“Pfft. There was no way I was leaving this house.” She walked around the counter to get a glass of juice. “We waited long enough. I think I deserve a freakin’ medal for waiting as long as I did.”

“I’ll be sure to look into it.”

Cordelia tried not to but she couldn’t stop her eyes from staring. Angel’s body truly was a work of art. Pale skin stretched taut over muscle and bone, begging to be touched, tasted, and worshipped. Her gaze drifted lower. What was once rigid and brought her mind-numbing pleasure was soft. Her fingers itched to make…

“Bon Appetite”

“Huh?”

“Your dinner. Are you alright?” He followed her stare and smiled. “Is something wrong?”

“What? No.” She sat up straight and started eating, focusing solely on her eggs. “Wow. These are fabulous.”

“I aim to please.”

Heat traveled up to her cheeks. Images of Angel pleasing her raced through her mind. She fidgeted on her stool and ate faster.

Her scent wafted through the air. His demon stirred demanding, wanting, needing, craving. He stepped closer to the counter to hide his body’s reaction. He could wait until she was finished eating.

“That was delicious.” She looked down at her empty plate. “I can’t believe how fast I inhaled that. I guess I was hungrier than I thought.”

“Are you still hungry? I can make more.”

“No. That was plenty.”

Angel grabbed her plate and turned around fully before walking away from behind the counter to the sink.

“Thank you for dinner.”

“You’re welcome.” He rinsed off the dish and put it in the dishwasher.

Cordelia hopped off her stool, her eyes darting around the room. “So?”

He turned and noticed the expression on her face. “What’s on your mind?”

“Huh?”

“You look like you want to ask me something.”

“Oh. I was just thinking. It’s nothing.”

“Tell me.”

“It’s just… Here we are.. in the kitchen.”

“And?”

She stomped her foot, huffing, “Don’t you remember?”

“Remember what?” She pointed at the floor. “Huh?”

“Forget it. It doesn’t matter.” She was enveloped by strong arms before she could leave. Cool breath tickled her ear.

His hand slid down her body until he reached where his shirt met skin before traveling up and under the cotton barrier. He smiled against the column of her neck when his fingers confirmed she was already wet with desire for him. “It is our second time and…”

She gasped as his insistent fingers plunged inside, stretching her, stroking her. His other hand snuck its way into the open collar and palmed a breast. “The kitchen floor was umm oh god!” She arched her neck, giving his mouth more skin to taste. “Was the plan for our second… umm second time.”

He began unbuttoning her shirt in search of more skin, while his thumb decided to join forces with his tortuous fingers eliciting another gasp. The buttons didn’t seem to want to cooperate. She mewled in protest when his hand disappeared.

Her protest died on her lips at the sound of ripping. Buttons flew in all directions making her giggle.

Angel spun her around and yanked her against him, skin touching skin as he pushed the torn shirt off her shoulders. “There will be no laughing at me.”

“I wasn’t..” The rest of her words were swallowed by his demanding mouth. She wrapped her arms around his neck deepening the kiss.

He trailed his fingertips lightly down her back causing her to arch into him. He cupped and squeezed her butt pressing her hips into his hardened arousal.

She tugged on his neck trying to get him down on the floor. Together they dropped to their knees. She gasped for air when his oral assault moved back to her neck. Her mind struggled to come up with the logistics of making love on a kitchen floor. All thoughts flew out of her brain when she was inexplicably on her back with a very aroused vampire on top of her. His hands were everywhere, causing her to shudder, gasp, and moan.

No longer able to deny himself her taste, Angel began trailing kisses down her body, pausing only to worship each hardened nipple before continuing his descent. He shook off her grasping hands. He would not be rushed this time.

Cordelia’s hips jerked at the first wet broad stroke. Strong hands stilled her hips while his tongue and teeth proceeded to devour her. Sensations she couldn’t name coursed through her system. Thoughts tried to form but went spinning away out of control. She threaded her fingers through his hair, hoping her grip might keep her from flying away in a hurricane of sensations. A red hot flame shot up her spine then spread out to the tips of her toes and fingers. A scream choked in the back of her throat as the world around her shattered.

Angel moved quickly, blanketing her body and thrusting high and hard in one smooth stroke. Her inner walls still fluttered with her recent orgasm. He watched mesmerized by the myriad of emotions displayed on her face.

She came back to herself. Her eyes opened only to find Angel above her, filling her, surrounding her, possessing her. Her legs instinctively wrapped around him, letting him sink deeper. She dragged his mouth to hers. The idea of tasting herself on his tongue seemed deliciously naughty.

He could remain still no longer. His thrusts were hard and fast while his eyes searched hers for any signs of pain or discomfort. Love, desire, need and ecstasy were clearly displayed.

She shuddered at the intensity in his eyes. Her world rebuilt only to start trembling again. Her hands clutched his back for purchase but it wasn’t enough. Her hips rose to meet each hard thrust as her eyes squeezed shut, trying to block out the overwhelming sea of color that danced before her eyes.

His hand held her hip in a bruising grip, angling it to bring her more pleasure. His pace increased to a fevered pitch. He was so close.

Her eyes flew open as her body was bombarded with pleasure beyond her understanding. The kaleidoscope of color exploded like fireworks. Her mouth opened in a soundless scream.

He captured her gaping mouth, his tongue taking advantage and plunging inside. She swallowed his groan as her body demanded his surrender. He tightened his grip on her hair as he thrust twice more before shuddering to a stop. He released her lips and showered moist kisses on her face. He gently kissed each closed eyelid.

Her hands explored his back, feeling corded muscles relax and grow smooth. Her ability to think slowly returned.

Angel propped himself up on an elbow. He was still snug inside her body and in no rush to break the connection. “What are you thinking?” A small smile formed on her lips. He watched her eyes slowly drift open.

“Once I got past the “wow” and “oh my freakin’ god, where the hell did he learn to do that”, I was thinking making love on the kitchen floor is great in theory but in application… Don’t get me wrong. The during was definitely amazing but now I’m thinking this floor is kinda hard and really cold. And not to be indelicate but I’m sorta laying in a wet spot.” She felt his chest rumble with laughter. “Don’t laugh at me!”

His eyebrow arched in a very Cordy-like way. “I’m not laughing at you. I’m laughing near you.”

“Shut up. Big jerk.” Her lip curled out in a pout.

He couldn’t resist the sweet temptation of her lip and captured it with his.

Before she could respond, his weight disappeared. She grumbled at the loss. It turned into a squeak of surprise when he suddenly pulled her to her feet. Her eyes opened and met his amused expression. “Don’t laugh at me.”

Angel pulled her into his arms. “I wouldn’t dare. Let’s go upstairs to our warm bed.”

“You expect me to be able to walk after that?”

“That good, huh?”

Cordelia rolled her eyes. “It was okay.”

“Just okay?”

“In a mind-numbing, toe-curling sort of way, Yes.”

He swept her off her feet. “I can live with that.”
