Well that explained the dreams and everything else. Soul mates, uh. Well, he could live with that, in fact he needed, wanted to live for it. He just hoped Cordelia could.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel went back up to his bedroom, glancing at the pictures strewn all over the floor. He gathered them all up and put them back in the drawer. He wasn\u2019t necessarily hiding them again, but like his mistake with Darla, Cordelia didn\u2019t need to be made aware of their existence, not yet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After all, she wasn\u2019t even aware that she and Angel were soul mates. First things first. Then he would find the right time to show her the drawings and tell her about Darla. Maybe. Angel picked up the small wrapped box and put it by his bed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He climbed into his big lonely bed and waited<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">***<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel walked into the lobby of the hotel. Cordelia was standing in the doorway waiting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel paused, resisting the urge to go to her. \u201cAre you going to come in?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia scrunched up her face. \u201cYou don\u2019t talk, you\u2019re not suppose to talk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAre you coming in,\u201d he repeated, reaching his hand out to the young woman.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhy aren\u2019t you wearing any clothes? Me, I\u2019m always naked. But, you always have clothes on, even that billowing, swooshing leather coat\u2026..at least\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.Maybe not towards the end of the dream\u2026\u2026\u2026But, yep definitely in the beginning. Yep. This is weird; I want to wake up. This is a dream, right?\u201d she said in sudden panic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIt\u2019s a dream,\u201d Angel reassured the nervous girl.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia let out a deep sigh. \u201cThank goodness, I would hate to think this was real.\u201d She said moving a step closer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cReally? You don\u2019t want this to be real?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia scrunched her face again, as she took another step closer. \u201cThat\u2019s not what I mean I would\u2026..It\u2019s just that here in dreamland; you want me, a lot. Out there,\u201d her arm swung out around the hotel. \u201cYou don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cRest assured I want you anyway I can have you. Though, it would make work more bearable if you wanted me in the non dream world, too. I love you Cordelia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia stumbled back. \u201cYou just said you loved me and you\u2019re naked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cYes.\u201d Angel nodded.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cOkay,\u201d she reassured herself. \u201cThis is just another dream. Just a little different, that\u2019s all. You talking, saying the things\u2026\u2026\u201d Her eyes shot up, in sudden realization. \u201csaying things that\u2026\u2026\u2026..I want you to say\u2026\u2026\u2026.this is just another dream. That\u2019s all.\u201d Her shoulders slumped. \u201cNow, how am I ever going to face you at work? It was impossible enough when it was just sex. Oh, I\u2019m losing my mind,\u201d she gulped.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThen so am I,\u201d Angel said softly. \u201cI love you, in this dream land.\u201d Angel\u2019s hand mimicked Cordelia\u2019s earlier movement. \u201cAnd out there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cReally? You will love me when we both are awake?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel nodded.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cBut, how is it, that this is a dream and I\u2019m not poof on a desk, on my floor, in your shower, on my kitchen counter, on my bed, tied to a your bed, or in a grave yard\u2026\u2026you know I\u2019m still having some problems with that one. The others okay, maybe okay. But, a graveyard, ewww, even the sewers were better than that,\u201d Cordelia complained.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI\u2019m dead, the grave yard was in Sunnydale, I imagine there are many meanings behind that one. You will have to check your book. But this time, get a better conclusion than that you\u2019re just sexually frustrated and need a good lay.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI did check the book. And it said that grave yards\u2026\u2026\u2026Hey, how do you know about the book? You\u2019re my dream Angel, how do you know about my real life reality bound book,\u201d she glared.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI read your dream journal.\u201d He admitted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cYou couldn\u2019t have. You\u2019re not real.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis is a dream, Cordy. But, I\u2019m real,\u201d he emphasized. \u201cI did go to your apartment, I did read your journal and I know about that dimwitted gym jock.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia stumbled further back, as she pinched frantically at her arm. She didn\u2019t like where this dream was going at all.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cCordelia, stop, do you really want to wake up, alone?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia paused and narrowed her eyes. \u201cYou\u2019re not mad? About Billy, I mean.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel shrugged.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIs that a yes or no?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNon answer. Just an acceptance that it happened.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cSo, nothing is going to happen to Billy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Again, Angel shrugged.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia stormed towards the vampire, reaching out to grab his arm. \u201cListen here, \u2018grr\u2019 guy\u2026\u201d She stopped as her hand clutched around Angel\u2019s forearm.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI can touch you.\u201d She said glanced up in awe. In the first couple of dreams she hadn\u2019t been able to, then later as the dreams progressed, she could, but never right in the beginning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIt\u2019s your dream. You can berate me or you can touch me however you want. It\u2019s your dream\u2026 and mine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia bit her lips. Her hand tentatively stroked up his arm. The cool skin tingled under her fingers. Or was it her fingers that tingled? She looked questionably up at the vampire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI felt it,\u201d he said roughly. Angel struggled to control his instincts. Part of him raged; this was his dream he should be able to do whatever he wanted and that was to have the young woman on the floor, touching and tasting her. Yet, the other part needed Cordelia to choose the direction of their actions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This was a dream, but he was conscious of everything. He was traversing the dream, living in it. And he wanted Cordelia to come to him. Their waking actions would be decided by this night.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A large bright smile lit up over Cordelia\u2019s face as she eagerly caressed Angel\u2019s arms, chest, and stomach. She trailed her hands around to his back, bringing her body in contact with his larger, harder one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis is a dream,\u201d she whispered huskily into his chest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel closed his eyes as her breath flickered across his skin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cDo we have to\u2026\u2026\u2026Nevermind,\u201d she said giggling as she found herself sprawled out on Angel\u2019s bed. \u201cI guess, we poofed.\u201d She giggled harder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel smiled and leaned into her giggling lips. He kissed her, devouring her, his lips and teeth tugging at her mouth. Cordelia\u2019s tongue ran over his lips before plunging into his mouth. Cordelia grasped at Angel\u2019s back, alternating between stroking and clawing. Cordelia broke from the kiss, her lips resting on Angel\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe book says that a kiss may indicate feelings that are difficult to express during the day. It suggests warmth, affection and happiness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAnd will you have difficulty expressing those feelings in the light of day,\u201d Angel growled, flipping her over, covering her body with his.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNot if you won\u2019t,\u201d she answered honestly, hugging him close. Cordelia squirmed deeper in the mattress as Angel\u2019s mouth trailed to her breast, then back up to her face. He lifted his head. \u201cI love you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI love you, too.\u201d Cordelia smiled in awe. She did love Angel. She didn\u2019t just really like him a lot. But real love. Cordelia felt an overwhelming peace at her acknowledgement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel smiled as his lips and hands created magic on Cordelia\u2019s skin. Cordelia moaned out loud as her hands continued to caress and clutch at Angel\u2019s back. \u201cAngel,\u201d she gulped. \u201cHow are you doing this? I mean how? The dreams, did you do them?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel leaned up from his ministrations. He ached to continue to taste Cordelia. His body cried to be embedded in Cordelia\u2019s heat, but he also should answer her.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWes,&#8221; he finally was able to answer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWesley,\u201d Cordelia shrieked, scooting up on the bed. Wesley was responsible for her dreams of Angel. That was really embarrassing and&#8230;really weird.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel growled as she moved away. He was beginning to really regret not just taking over the dream and ending it he way it should be ended. With his cock firmly embedded in the beautiful woman and his teeth clamped on to her delicate skin. Angel calmed himself.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWesley doesn&#8217;t know about the dreams, he is just responsible for them,\u201d Angel managed to lean up from Cordelia. His flesh ached for the heat of her skin. \u201cHe got a book, an ancient book, The Life and times and Spells of a Greek dream god. In his usual eager self, he translated the book, invoking a spell inadvertently. One that allows lovers, soul mates to enter each other dreams. He did it right before your birthday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia scooted further away. \u201cYou remembered my birthday, but didn\u2019t at least say Happy Birthday,\u201d she shouted. Her mind totally switching gears.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel sat up, his ardor deflated. He might as well get it all over with now. \u201cI remembered your birthday, I even got you a present,\u201d he defended.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cPresent, would that be the big fat nothing I got on my birthday?\u201d She yelled.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI forgot, after the dreams started. They were sort of preoccupying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia glared and then relented a bit. The dreams had sort of driven her birthday out of her head too. So, you were really in my dreams? Do you still have my present?\u201d she asked rapidly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cYes and yes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhen can I get it?\u201d She said happily, her mind on her present.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cFirst thing tomorrow morning.\u201d He smiled.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cGoody,\u201d She scrunched her brow again. \u201cAngel, we weren\u2019t lovers, so how did the spell work?\u201d Her mind switching again at a tremendous speed. Angel wondered how he would ever keep up with his beautiful seer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cSoul mates. I guess. Do you have a problem with that?\u201d He answered.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cSoul mates?\u201d Cordelia asked wistfully, then her eyes widening, and her brow and lips wrinkling in a sad frown. \u201cThis is it, isn\u2019t it? We can only do this here. I can\u2019t touch you not ever when we\u2019re awake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cYou better,\u201d Angel disagreed forcibly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAngel, your soul. Angelus. For some reason, the happy clause hasn\u2019t sprung into effect in dream land.\u201d Cordelia\u2019s eyes widened as she scooted even further away from the vampire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAngel, maybe we shouldn\u2019t do this. I mean now we\u2019re sort of awake. I mean its still a dream, but\u2026\u201d her hand shot back and before between them, \u201cwe&#8217;re talking and stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel cringed. Even in dreamland, as Cordy called it, he had no doubt that is his seer could pack a wallop of a tirade. He took a deep breath and tried to prepare himself. \u201cMy soul is permanent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia\u2019s big eyes blinked rapidly. \u201cThis is true, not something that I just dreamed up, just like it was true that you loved me, right?\u201d she said quietly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel nodded that wasn\u2019t so bad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia shot off the bed. Her hand raised outwards, she glared at her empty hand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cCordy, what are you doing?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI\u2019m picturing a big pointy stake,\u201d she glared. \u201cIt worked before, I pictured us in bed and poof.\u201d She glared harder at her still empty hand. \u201cDamn\u2019t\u201d she threw down her hand in disgust.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel readjusted his original conclusion. This was bad. And it was only going to get worse, he could feel it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhen? How? Why? And why didn\u2019t you tell anyone?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel seriously considered picturing the raging young woman tied to his bed and gagged. He had read the passages in Wesley\u2019s book. Granted, ancient Greek wasn\u2019t his strongest language. But he had a lot of time on his hands when he was wandering the sewers with his new soul. He had studied. And in his mortal life, he had been an altar boy, Latin and ancient Greek weren\u2019t that dissimilar. He could read it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And he had figured out how to manipulate the traversing part of the Morpheus spell. He had done pretty well so far. He could probably change the dream without Cordelia actually even knowing it before she was gagged.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But, then unless Angel was willing to try to wipe her memory of all that had already happened, she would be even angrier. He winced as he watched her pace back and forth. May be that wouldn\u2019t be so bad. Angel shook his head and summoned all of his courage. \u201cAfter my first epiphany.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cYou had more than one?\u201d Cordelia exclaimed, her tone accusing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cTwo, the second was that I loved you.\u201d Angel pointed out hopefully, smiling encouragingly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThat\u2019s nice. Go on.\u201d She retorted. \u201cYou still have the how and whys left to explain. Which should be really interesting since you were such a bastard before the \u2018first\u2019 epiphany.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel winced, truly scared. \u201cCordy, I love you, only you,\u201d he whined stalling.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAngel,\u201d she demanded sharply.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel closed his eyes and blurted it all out. \u201cMistakewithDarladidn\u2019tlosesoulPowersrelievedgavemepermanentoneto<br \/>\nPreventrepeatofmycolassalstupidiy,\u201d he finished taking a deep breath.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia moved slowly and purposely over to the bed, she leaned over until her flashing eyes were inches from Angel\u2019s cowering ones.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cMistake with Darla,\u201d she spat. \u201cMistake as in potential soul losing mistake,\u201d she said tersely. \u201cYou risked your soul, my life, Wesley\u2019s life, god only knows how many other lives Angelus would have tortured and killed with that, that blonde dead floozy, just because you were going through a down period in your long life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIt was a little more than just a down period. And I didn\u2019t lose my soul, no joy or anything.\u201d Angel defended and excused at the same time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia shot straight up. \u201cI\u2019m waking up, now. This dream is over,\u201d she glared and disappeared.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel lay back on the bed, scared and lost. Cordelia left him. He looked up at the ceiling of his room. He tumbled off the bed, his knocking off the small box of the bedside table. Angel clutched the box tightly in his fist and waited until morning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Waiting to see if Cordelia would come back to him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/goteamfiction.com\/index.php\/2015\/07\/21\/dream-it-and-the-heart-will-follow-7\/\">Chapter 7<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chapter six Angel hung up the phone.
