She frowned and bounced again. She nodded as the big naked lump stirred at the movement of the bed. She jumped one more time, flopping down next to the shifting vampire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhat are you doing?\u201d He grouched.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cOh, I\u2019m sorry did I wake you.\u201d She smiled, sitting cross-legged.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel blinked open one eye at her innocent tone. \u201cYou know you did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhat I didn\u2019t do anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel groaned opening his other eye, staring. \u201cTrying out the bed as a trampoline is doing something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI don\u2019t know what you are talking about you must have been dreaming.\u201d Cordelia shook her head.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cGo away,\u201d Angel turned on his side, clutching his pillow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia narrowed her eyes at Angel\u2019s broad back. Her silent Hmmph didn\u2019t give way to her usual appreciation of the view. She was tempted to smack the spectacular ass. Cordy had a purpose. \u201cUpsy daisy, Angel.\u201d She nudged at his shoulder. \u201cIt\u2019s a beautiful morning, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel turned his head. \u201cThen go enjoy it,\u201d grumbling, pulling the pillow over his head.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNope, not without you.\u201d Cordy yanked at the pillow causing the vampire\u2019s head to hit the mattress.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel turned and stared. \u201cWhat exactly do expect me to do in the morning sunshine?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cGet up, we can feed the chirping birds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cYou\u2019re insane.\u201d He flopped back over.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia pushed at his shoulder. \u201cSilly, you can stand in the shadows and watch me feed the birds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cCordy, I\u2019m not getting up. I\u2019m tired. I didn\u2019t get home until 4 am and I\u2019m not watching you feed some squawking birds that are too stupid to find their own food.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhose fault was that? Not mine. So, why should I be deprived of this beautiful morning, the chirping- very hungry- birds, and your company.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel sat up. \u201cWhose fault? How about the Soltex demon that was about to demolish lovers&#8217; lane and every necking couple there.\u201d Angel growled. \u201cI\u2019m tired AND there is no way I going out to ENJOY this god damn beautiful morning. Go away.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cMaybe,\u201d Cordelia said sweetly ignoring his outburst. \u201cIf you had taken\u2026I don\u2019t know, another person, one that you\u2019ve been training to fight, one that you said was getting quite good on that little escapade you could\u2019ve gotten done sooner and been home in bed at reasonable hour. Then maybe you wouldn\u2018t be so grumpy. Hmmm. What do think about that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel closed his eyes. \u201cYou\u2019re still mad at me and this is payback, isn\u2019t it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cMe,\u201d Cordelia pointed to her chest in wide-eyed mocked surprise. \u201cWhy would I be mad at you, the love of my life, my soul mate, my better half, the ying to my yang, the Penn to my Teller, the Neiman to my Marcus, the Rodeo to my Drive, the Beverly to my Hills, the \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cShut up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cBut, Angel, all I\u2019m saying is that I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cGod,\u201d Angel rubbed his temples, \u201cHow can you be so mean so early in the morning.\u201d He whined.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cMean? Angel, dearest to my heart, I brought you breakfast.\u201d She took a mug from the bedside table.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel\u2019s studied it warily. \u201cWhat\u2019s in it? I\u2019m not drinking it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cYou of little faith.\u201d Cordelia tsked.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cJust yell or hit me, then let me get back to sleep, please.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAngel, silly love of my soul, the balm to my unrest, I don\u2019t want to yell at you or hit you, I want to spend the day in your company, gazing in your eyes, telling you over and over again, how much I love you, vampire of my dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhat do I have to do for you to let me go back to sleep.\u201d Angel begged.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWell, maybe, just maybe, I can feed the poor starving little birdies on my own, if\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhatever it is I\u2019ll do it I swear.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia cocked a brow at the vampire. \u201cLet me go with you next time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNo, let\u2019s go feed your little starving birdies.\u201d Angel said clearly moving to get up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAngel.\u201d Cordelia huffed pulling the vampire back. \u201cI mean it, I want to go next time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAngel, that\u2019s not fair.\u201d Cordelia glared crossing her arms against her chest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cTough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAngel, I\u2019m going next time or else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cOr else what, you\u2019re going to never let me sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cOh, I\u2019ll let you sleep and sleep and sleep, and that\u2019s all you\u2019ll ever being doing in this bed\u2026alone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel narrowed his eyes. \u201cYou wouldn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cJust watch me, buster, watch me carry me, myself and I out of here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel held her glare. She was bluffing she had to be. \u201cCordy, you said that you wouldn\u2019t ever use that as an ultimatum, you said you wouldn\u2019t ever give that up.\u201d He reached for her.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cHmmph,\u201d Cordelia slapped his hand away. \u201cThat\u2019s when you were being just annoyingly over-protective and cute about the visions. But now you\u2018re being just annoyingly obnoxious and stupid. And since, Wesley found that potion, no more bad vision pain, couple of swigs and I\u2018m right as rain.\u201d Cordy scrunched up her face, \u201cI didn\u2018t say that\u2026Anyway, there is no excuse now for not letting me go.\u201c<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThat\u2019s not fair.\u201d Angel started to get a little worried. It wasn\u2019t as if he believed that Cordelia would actually move out of his bed forever, but she might do it for day or god forbid two.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cTough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel wasn\u2019t going to let her push him around. \u201cI don\u2019t want you to go on the visions, it\u2019s too dangerous, don\u2019t make Me.\u201d he whined.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAngel, you\u2019re being a controlling dumb ass. You all needed my help last night. Look at you.\u201d she pointed at the bandages that covered his chest. \u201cWesley and Gunn are even worse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe handled it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAngel, I\u2019ve helped you before. If I can\u2019t help you now because \u201cWe\u2019re in love\u201d,\u201d she jabbed at the air making quotation marks. \u201cThen we won\u2019t be in love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThat\u2019s ridiculous. We can\u2019t just stop being in love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWell, we sure can stop having sex.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNo, we can\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia raised her brows. \u201cReally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cReally.\u201d Angel moved, pulling her under him. \u201cYou can\u2019t resist me.\u201d He tried.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cReally? Is that a challenge, a dare, an arrogant boast that I hear? Hmm.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel dropped his head on her chest in defeat at her steely hazel eyes. Damn, she\u2019d do it just to prove she could. It would be hell. \u201cHow about a compromise? If we need help, you can come, but not every time and only when I say we need help.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cHow about when Wesley says.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWesley? No, me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNo, Wesley, you\u2019ll just say you never need help.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel closed his eyes, mumbling into cushion of her malleable chest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhat was that?\u201d Cordelia looked down at the dark head, nestled in her breast making grumbling sounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI said fine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI don\u2019t think that\u2019s all you said,\u201d she laughed, bringing up her fingers to tickle at the short hairs at the nape of the vampire\u2019s neck.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel lifted his head at the ministrations then looked down at the soft cushion he\u2019d buried his face in. The giggling body underneath was as naked as he was and scenting the air with a recognized and always welcomed fragrance. \u201cYou WERE bluffing.\u201d He said accusingly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cPleeaase, Angel, like I would every give up making love to you. Hmmph. If you hadn\u2019t been so grumpy you would\u2019ve noticed sooner. Now let me up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhy? You don\u2019t want me too. I don\u2019t want too.\u201d Angel was back to whining.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cBecause you\u2019re tired remember and you need to rest to heal. Later.\u201d She quickly kissed him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel shook his head tightening his hold. \u201cWell, I\u2019m up now.\u201d He moved adjusting his hips to show Cordy just how awake he was.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThat\u2019s not saying much that part of you is always up.\u201d Cordy rolled her eyes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhose fault is that?\u201d He nuzzled into her neck caressing along her side rounding her hip, his fingers inching to the soft triangular patch of curls.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cBetter be mine.\u201d The tips of her nails trailed down Angel\u2019s spine, back to his neck, wrapping around him, shifting her thighs making way for Angel\u2019s teasing touch. \u201cAre you sure you\u2019re healed enough? Maybe I should check.\u201d She asked with the concern that was fighting her desire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cYou are checking,\u201d Angel reassured the young woman with a slight chuckle, his lips moving to the small scared marks evident on the smooth skin on Cordy\u2019s neck. His tongue swirling moistening the area as his fingers repeated the pattern causing tremors under Cordy\u2019s flesh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAngel,\u201d she gasped, wrapping her long legs around him, trying to fit the vampire in her. Angel pushed back, continuing with his incessant teasing, brushing through the curls, rubbing at the extended bud, massaging the moisture around, but never relieving the pressure that was building in Cordy\u2018s belly tensing her every muscle and squeezing at her nerves. \u201cI\u2019ll never be so mean so early in the morning if you stop teasing, I swear.\u201d she begged.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAngel,\u201d she whimpered in complaint as his hands and lips left her.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel rose up on his elbows, imprisoning the young woman under him. \u201cI don\u2019t know Cordy, love of my life, my soul mate, my\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAngel,\u201d Cordelia whined.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel smirked at Cordy\u2019s pout.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cYou\u2019ll pay for this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel laughed. \u201cSo much for not being mean.&#8221; Angel leaned down to capture her full lips, shutting off any more words.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordy sighed accepting the kiss, her hips eagerly complying with Angel\u2019s hands raising her legs back around his waist. She gasped as he filled her, their kiss becoming more fervent. Angel\u2019s hips moved, pushing deeper. Cordy gasped for air, her lips grazing Angel\u2019s cheek as he burrowed his face back into her neck.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hips moved simultaneously, force using force to create a delicate beautiful friction. Angel growled being swallowed by the heat. His fangs pierced the marks, instinctually claiming the woman he loved once again because it was allowed by her loving willingness. Cordelia\u2019s voice tried to cry out in a scream only to be choked into a gasp as her blood was given to Angel and the intensity of his thrusts bombarded her nerves, squeezing at them until they exploded into a million flying colors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The combined life flow of Cordelia\u2019s blood pounding in his veins and her satin tight channel pulsating and contracting around him in her release surrounding his every dead cell, every nerve, every part of his body. The rush effused him with a moment of true life and pushing him over the edge. Angel growled out Cordelia\u2019s name shuddering into her body, the feeling of being alive spilling out of. Angel groaned its loss but rejoiced in the continuing warmth soaking into his skin, evidencing that the love that permitted such a miracle was encased in the woman holding him and would be there always.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel shifted, keeping Cordy\u2019s body close, licking at the marks that had once been Angelus, but now were only his.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia tenderly ran her hand through the thick hair at her cheek, scratching at the vampire\u2019s scalp.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel rubbed further into her hand, a cross from a whimper and a moan softly growled from his throat. \u201cMine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cMine.\u201d Cordelia whispered in agreement and in her own murmured claiming.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angel smiled kissing her gently, tucking her into him. \u201cNow I\u2019m tired.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cordelia smiled. \u201cMe, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe little starving birds?\u201d Angel cocked a raised brow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cStupid birds, if they can\u2019t feed themselves.\u201d Cordelia snuggled even closer.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Part 2<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lilah flexed her fingers happily. Freedom, finally from that damn cast. She groaned. Her delight disappeared as her eyes caught the memo again.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Great. Just Great. She read it again. It wasn\u2019t the fact that she was being ordered to Linwood\u2019s office that annoyed her per se. She was actually grateful for it. At least the Senior Partners weren\u2019t going to out right kill her for that last time traveling Angelus fiasco. She had heard Jeremy hadn\u2019t been so lucky. Still. Linwood was assigning her a new partner. Which meant, most likely that she was to be watched for any more screw-ups. God please don\u2019t let it be another Jeremy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">***<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lilah\u2019s eyes first went to Linwood at his acknowledgment. She nodded respectfully and then turned to the other presence in the room. \u201cYou\u2019ve got to be kidding me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cGood to see you, too, Lilah.\u201d Lindsay raised his fake hand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cSir,\u201d Lilah swirled around to her boss. \u201cHe quit in snit, grabbed my ass. He should be dead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cLilah, it was the hand. It was evil.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lilah could almost believe the sincere tone that uttered that nonsense if she hadn\u2019t saw the rolling of Lindsay\u2019s eyes. \u201cThis one\u2019s new, won\u2019t be going near your ass.\u201d He smirked showing his new prosthetic hand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cGreat.\u201d Lilah rolled her eyes as she sat in the chair in front of Linwood\u2019s desk.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cLilah, I do understand your hesitation, Lindsay has re-interviewed with the Senior Partners. This is their order. They feel with your combined strengths that the Special Project will flourish. Your first project together as been assigned.\u201d Linwood shoved binder towards the two younger lawyers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lilah\u2019s body hurt as she saw the file edging to her. She squelched down the remembered pain and cleared her throat. \u201cThat particular project,\u201d Lilah took a deep breath,\u201d failed two times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Linwood leaned back in his chair. \u201cYes, Lilah, we know that they were yours and that they failed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lilah choked her gulp. \u201cThen we know. And the vehicle that would allow this project is dead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cYes, but you very aptly kept a copy of the spell and Lindsay found another spell-caster. So, this time between the two of you we expect that it will get done, correctly. That\u2019s all.\u201d Linwood dismissed the lawyers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once the doubly thick polished doors slammed, Lilah turned on Lindsay. \u201cThis is a set up. You are setting me up.\u201d She glared.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNow, Lilah, why would you say that? I\u2019m here to help.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWith this plan? You do realize that it has failed TWICE,\u201d she glared, \u201cand I\u2019ve ended up in the hospital each time,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cSide effects of war, Lilah, just side effects.\u201d Lindsay\u2019s gave a cocky salute with his prosthetic hand.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Part 3<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lindsay sat behind the desk.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThat\u2019s my desk.\u201d Lilah glared.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cTrue, but the way you\u2019re pacing it\u2019s safer over here. Those heels of yours look lethal.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lilah glared throwing the file on the desk. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lindsey leaned up. \u201cIt can. That past already happened. Cordelia lived through the Angelus period and ended up four years later soul mates with Angel. No, we need the Angelus that wants her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI can\u2019t imagine two Angelus\u2019 being any safer than Angel and Angelus together in the same spot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cBut, Lilah, it will be 1998, you and I will be safely in LA, just being introduced to the wonders of Wolfram &amp; Hart and NOW we will be in LA with Angel who will be running around trying to figure why the love of his life is in a coma. Cordelia will be the only one facing two Angelus. Hell, if the 1998 version does notice her -let the Angelus\u2019 fight it out.
